Similarly, all staff members are required to be tested for Tuberculosis as well as have a signed doctor's health report that states they are free from any disease or disability which would prevent them from working with children. Seven of our staff members are MAT trained, qualifying them to administer medication.
All staff members undergo annual criminal background checks through the Virginia State Police and the Virginia Department of Social Services certifying that they have no criminal record.
All programs (Infant-Kindergarten) operate with two staff members present in the classroom at all times, a Lead Teacher and an Assistant. Our staff encourages active learning where our students make choices so that they can explore, play, and problem solve. Activities are considered for the children's enjoyment, interest, control, probability of success, and feelings of competence, and self-confidence.
